Serie Geometría Orgánica

All of the artist’s previous plastic research gave rise to a new geometry. Starting with basic shapes such as circles, rhombuses, cubes, and rectangles, María Angélica creates what she currently refers to as her Metal Geometries.

This is a work in progress that currently presents two possible solutions. The first consists of creating a central geometric figure by superimposing several identical, smaller geometric figures distributed in a specific order, thus forming the composition. The second solution is also based on the relationships between shapes, but their sequential distribution on the plane suggests movement, rhythm, in other words, an illusion of mobility to the eye.
