Melissa Dupont
Visual artist with training in architecture and design. Master’s degree from the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM), and specialization in photography from the School of Photography and Image Center (EFTI), Spain.
Melissa began her career during her years in Spain, where she devoted herself to developing projects in visual arts and urban interventions. Her work is based on abstract geometry, minimalism, and contemporary architecture and design in a process of exploring space, color, and their possibilities.
His creative project ranges from metal sculpture and digital painting to mural painting and interdisciplinary artistic projects. It is characterized by its brightness, cleanliness, and simple lines, creating a chromatic harmony that is both simple and intense.
She does not seek to intellectualize her art because she creates from the senses, guided by a need to achieve aesthetic harmony in her compositions using color, in a very intuitive way, as an element of construction where space becomes visible through planes of color that reveal elements characteristic of architecture.
In his explorations of color and perspective, viewers can perceive the work in different ways, varying in tandem with their movement through space, playing with perception, transparency, and opacity. In his color variations, he seeks to generate a rhythm that appears when combining different chromatic values and their variations in gradient, creating balance, serenity, and silence.
