Patrick Tschudi
Always intrigued by geometric shapes and patterns that, despite the passage of time and changing places, remain lodged in our collective memory, Patrick Tschudi ventures into an exploration that shifts from the sociological observation present in his previous works to an internal gaze that questions not only the world that contains him, but also how it moves and impacts us.
The artist thus proposes to dust off the links between the abstract and the concrete, to draw on our memory, inviting us to reflect on the communication that each of us resolves between these two planes. The Tramas series is related to the artist’s fascination with geometric patterns that are repeated in different cultures.
It is a personal response to various experiences that have led him to navigate those alternate worlds where such forms dwell, and which the artist now offers us as the result of that journey.
He studied at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (diploma in Painting), at the Geneva School of Fine Arts (diploma in Visual Arts), and at the Geneva University of Art and Design (postgraduate degree in Art and New Media), where he worked for three years in the Art and New Media department until 2011, when he returned to Lima, Peru, where he currently works and resides.
