En la rigurosidad del dibujo encuentro profunda me- ditación y paz. Mientras me formaba como arquitecto, descubrí en el trabajo de geometría un medio para desarrollar mi propio lenguaje para expresar ideas abstractas, y en la tecnología, el medio para reducir significativamente los recursos económicos implícitos en la creación de obras metalúrgicas.
En la era de los grandes muros que se levantan, construyo barreras contra la brutalidad de la represión social, barricadas que funcionan como lugar de encuentro y reconocimiento del otro en la búsqueda de nuestro propio reflejo.
A lo largo de su camino reconoció que diferentes puntos de vista ofrecen diferentes verdades y, como permanecen en el espacio público de forma permanente, se convertirán en barreras simbólicas que salvaguardarán la vida de quienes buscan refugio.
Alejandro venezolano-italiano Vega Beuvrin, nacido en 1979, emigró a España en 2014 y abandona su labor académica y arquitectónica para centrarse en desarrollar una nueva carrera como escultor.
Desde entonces, su obra ha sido expuesta en espacios públicos en Caracas, París, Madrid y Shanghái. Sus obras se encuentran en colecciones privadas de todo el mundo.
